Yeoooo…Substack is chill. How the hec did we not hop on here sooner?
We’re Carly, Alaina, and Julie—the three sisters behind Balanced Beyars Health who have been on a mission to help women better understand their cycles, improve fertility, and navigate their unique journeys in health and wellness.
We’ve been doing a lot of reflecting lately and we are realizing that since we started our biz, we’ve evolved a whole lot.

Back in 2017 when we started this business together, we were laser-focused on helping women live more holistically, especially when it came to understanding their cycles and how to live in harmony with their changing hormones.
But life has a funny way of shifting your perspective when you enter new phases of it.
We went from pouring our energy into hormone health education for YEARS because it was so relevant to the chapters of our own lives - to now where we are navigating the whirlwinds of fertility, pregnancy, miscarriages, postpartum, motherhood, marriage, parenting, our relationships, and just... life that we’re experiencing firsthand. (All of which you can listen to on our Just A Phase Podcast, too.)
And we’re not just dipping our toes in these new phases—we are knee deep in the trenches LOL.
If you follow us on Instagram stories, you’d know how Alaina is juggling life with three little ones (her house is basically a circus), Carly is now wrangling two kids (and doing her best to not look like a zombie most days), and Julie is about to become a mom for the first time this year (after experiencing a traumatizing miscarriage last year).
We’ve been through a lot in a short amount of time—new babies, new challenges, new priorities. And with all that growth, our mission has evolved, too.
Now, we’re here to help women navigate the FULL spectrum of womanhood from a holistic perspective: From cycle tracking and fertility to pregnancy, postpartum, motherhood, strengthening your relationship with your partner, parenting, and everything in between.
We’ve also been diving deeper into the emotional, mental, metaphysical and spiritual work that has transformed every aspect of our lives the past 2 years. Healing our own childhood traumas (we’ll save those stories for another day), strengthening our intuition, and learning how to actually listen to our bodies has been nothing short of mind-blowing. It’s helped us become better sisters, moms, partners, business owners, and honestly, just better humans.
So yeah, this is us—the new us. And we want you to be in it with us. We basically want you to be in our sister group chat.
Whether you’ve been following since our early cycle health strategy days or you’re just finding us now, we want you to know that our mission is still the same at its core: to help women not live — but thrive at every stage throughout their lives.
We’re going deeper. And we’re bringing you with us.
If you’re wondering what our education background is... we’re lifelong learners and experts proud to share education with the masses—certified as Fertility Awareness & Menstrual Health Educators, Medical Intuitive Practitioners, NASM Certified Personal Trainers, and Certified Hormone Health Coaches. We’ve poured years of education, personal experience, and professional training into everything we share.
And every once in a while, you might open one of our newsletters and find a totally random share from one of our husbands because, well, they’ve got a lot to say, too.
Whether it’s Billy geeking out over DIY board and batten walls or the garden bed he built for Carly (seriously, he’s like the Garden King now), Tolin diving deep into his marathon training like he’s qualifying for the Olympics (he is crazy fast), or Tommy trying to juggle being a retired pro hockey player, a dad of three, and somehow still staying fit (without falling asleep)—it’s all part of the wild, beautiful mess of life we’re sharing with you.





We’re here to help you navigate your own phases of life, share what’s working (and what’s not), and remind you to laugh through the chaos because it’s just a phase. We hope that when you see a post from us, read a newsletter or Substack, or DM us that you feel inspired, supported, and maybe even a little entertained. But most importantly, better off than you were before we connected.
So, whether you’re here for the wellness tips, life advice, mom hacks, or just a little sisterly entertainment—thanks for being here. We’ve changed, but our hearts are still very much in the same exact place: sharing what we learn through the beautiful and sometimes challenging phases of womanhood, helping you to thrive, and keeping it nothing but real in this filtered & curated world.
